For patients with diabetes, wound healing is often challenged, and wounds can become non-healing. In our research, we are developing wound bandages that deliver drugs to help form blood vessels in non-healing wounds. This is an image of a mouse diabetic wound showing that our dressings work against their target (yellow) to form a lot of blood vessels (magenta) in the newly formed tissue.
